Thank you to the followers of my blog. If any of you have a blog please let me know. I would love to join it. I want to shout out to Ellen who has been there for me. I appreciate you for everything. I hope that we will talk soon on the phone. Thank you for always being there. I do appreciate all of my followers. It shows that you care and that makes me feel good inside. ok, here is the latest and some of you already know from fb. I will be have the surgery ileal conduit which will remove my bladder. I will also have my urethra taken out as well. My surgery date is set for September 24th. I look forward to enjoying the last of fall and all of winter and so on with my new bladder (yea a bag). I will officially become a bag lady. lol!! Not really funny but it is funny (know what I mean). I thought so. Any way the surgery will take 3 to 4 hours and hopefully I will wake up. If I don't that is ok because I will be with the Lord. I am optimistic but realistic at the same time. This is a big surgery. I have a great competent doctor so I feel good about it. It is like I have posted in other places, it is a sad but happy time. It is sad because Who WANTS to lose their bladder? No one! I am so thankful that there is an alternative though. My life will drastically change. Some ways absolutely great and some ways kinda sad. I will feel better. No, I mean I WILL FEEL BETTER!! I love all my IC sisters. I thank you for being there for me to ask questions. I like to help people any time I can. I can tell someone probably anything they want to know about "IC". When it comes to living with an external bag I know just a little. I will learn a lot though soon enough. I chose the outside bag because that is what I feel is best for me. Others have chosen the Indiana pouch that is on the inside. (which I use to say Indian pouch) haha !! I finally stopped calling it that when I would keep getting corrected.:) I will be seeing the Urostomy nurse Sept. 17th. She is going to teach me about how to take care of my stoma and how to put on a bag. I think I will go with a 2 pc bag. Just from what I have read I think it is the one I want. Well it is 12:15 am and I am going to bed now. Love you!!!
