Went to Urologist today in B'ham

Well, I see I still don't have any members but myself. Ouch! I can see that I have had some traffic so please join even if it is out of pity! hehe ! Here we go..............My doctor wants me to try one last thing before he will do the bladder and urethra removal. He wants to stretch my urethra as much as he can and YES, It hurts and I know from previous experience. He will put me under general anesthesia. It will be an out-patient procedure. My appointment is scheduled for 2 weeks from today. Two weeks after this if I have had no improvement he is going to do the major surgery removing my bladder and urethra. I have decided that I will go with the ileal conduit and not the indiana pouch. I have researched everything there is about this. I am very comfortable with my decision. I will update my blog as much as possible if I have the major surgery so that you all know how I am doing and what all has been done. The reason that I am talking as if I WILL have the major surgery is because there is only a 10 to 15% chance the stretching will work. I had this procedure done years ago and it didn't work. I do remember waking up in horrible pain so this time I am going to ask ahead of time about making sure my pain is taken care of. Well it is almost 11:00 pm and I haven't had a chance to watch my dvr'd soap Y&R. If you are a Y&R fan then you will totally get it. haha!! I am looking forward to all the new members of my blog!!
