IC and me

Hi and welcome to my blog. I decided to create this blog so that other people like me can talk with each other. We need to talk about this disease because we can gain ideas from each other; Ideas that may help one another. I am a mother of 2 (boy 21) (girl 17). I have been married for 22 years. I have suffered with IC for 22 years.

Here is the definition for IC: Interstitial Cystitis can be described as Bladder pain syndrome, painful bladder syndrome or Hypersensitive bladder syndrome. The lining inside the bladder will thin out causing discomfort, pain, frequency and urgency. It can be so bad that it is disabling. With Interstitial Cystitis there is rarely infection of the urinary system involved. Although you can still get infections but generally with IC no infection is involved in the urinary tract.

I will return later to finish this part of the blog.
